Honolulu City Councilman Rod TAM announced to members of his campaign yesterday, that although he previously voted for the “Rail Project”, after researching the project more thoroughly he can no longer be in support of it. Currently the City & County of Honolulu is not able to afford the project in these slow economic times. “I will not support the Rail Project… To date, the project has no viable financial plan.” He also stated that community members he has talked to don’t want the rail.

HI Rod
I like the ideas you have on using the RAIL stations to boost small businesses and create jobs. In the Mainland the RAIL stations are the life of the City they are packed with entertainment and fun! I hope to see that on Oahu as well as to see that mentality around our major bus stops! The City could really use that type of innovation.
